DynamicPoint Releases Latest Product Roadmap

DynamicPoint Road Map

With the official RTM release of SharePoint 2016 on March 14th, we would like to take this opportunity to update everyone on latest DynamicPoint product roadmap. This roadmap will help our existing customers, as well as those evaluating our products, to understand the future of our products and the focus of our company. We don’t have all the details of our upcoming releases summarized below but rather provide guidance on the overall technical and functional strategy of our applications.

Fall 2016

The biggest news to report is the development of our new AP/Invoice Automation product. Inspired by our existing Invoice Management product, this application is focused on the automated submission and processing of vendor invoices from the perspective of the Accounts Payable department. The main focus will be on the automated receipt of the invoice in a SharePoint document library, rapid review and coding of the invoice using pre-defined allocation templates, managerial review options using either SharePoint or Dynamics workflow, and lastly, the seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics. This will be DynamicPoint’s first full product release solely on the SharePoint Office 365 platform.

Speaking of Office 365, that is the other focus with the migration of our existing Invoice and Requisition Management, as well as Expense Reimbursement applications to the new Office 365 development platform. With this migration not only will we be able to offer our products in a cloud deployment, but the migration will also include a new modern interface with improved usability and performance.

Winter 2016/17

Winter 2016/17 will include a continued focus on completing the migration of all of our products to Office 365 as well as support the SharePoint 2016 release. With the mainstream release of SharePoint 2016 our products will be fully compatible as you look to upgrade your existing environment. More details will follow regarding migration options for our existing customers who wish to move to SharePoint online or SharePoint 2016.

Spring 2017

After the migration of our products to SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 is complete, we will take advantage of new SharePoint features within our applications. Going with Microsoft’s theme that every application should be accessible from any device, SharePoint is getting a fresh renewal on its mobile views. SharePoint pages will now be responsive and automatically update the layout depending on the type of device being used to access the application. In either format, it will be optimized for use with touch screens or pointing devices (aka, mouse) and will be leveraged in the DynamicPoint Expense, Requisition and Invoice Automation applications.

In addition to these exciting improvements, per usual, we are always enhancing our products to include the top features as requested by customers.
